Young Reporters and Reviewers
Young Reporters
Wandsworth's young reporters stepped into the shoes of a radio broadcaster with Riverside Radio. Over multiple sessions, they learned how to conduct interviews with artists and event organisers for a radio broadcast.
Young Reporters was a free project for those aged 14 – 19, living or studying in the borough of Wandsworth.
The project offered young people the chance to learn professional interviewing techniques, conduct real interviews with local artists, and create their own broadcast-quality content celebrating Wandsworth as London Borough of Culture. They got hands-on experience in professional studios, with opportunities to have their work aired on Riverside Radio.
Young Reviewers
Our 2025 cohort of Young Reviewers were mentored by professional writers, to help them develop critical thinking and writing skills and their creative voice. They had access to free tickets for Wandsworth Arts Fringe and London Borough of Culture events, and built confidence expressing their opinions.
This project was free and aimed at those aged 14 – 19, who lived or studied in the borough of Wandsworth.
