Wandsworth Creatives is a series of short films that profile people working in creative careers in the borough of Wandsworth and explores their role, how they got there and what skills you need to succeed.
Ep01: Alex Duncan - Visual Artist
Our first film features Alex Duncan, Co-Director of Art Lacuna.
ArtLacuna is a not-for-profit, artist-led space established in early 2013 encompassing artist studios, a residency and research programme, colour and B/W darkroom, as well as project and exhibition space.
Ep02: Bronwen Stephens-Harding - Opera Singer
Our second film features Bronwen Stephens, Opera Singer and Director of Rogue Opera.
In 2018, Bronwen founded Rogue Opera with a vision of bringing opera to new audiences and unconventional spaces. As well as singing the title role in Rogue Opera’s inaugural season of Bizet’s Carmen, Bronwen directed the production and saw it performed in a variety of venues.

Ep03: Jackie Mwanza - Curator
Our third film features Jackie Mwanza, Museum Curator of Ubuntu Museum.
Zambian born Jackie Mwanza is a visual artist and art workshop facilitator. Ubuntu Museum began in 2018 as a social enterprise with a mission to celebrate cultural inclusion within education, the arts and commerce.
She says, “Ubuntu Museum was born out of a need to share my experiences of being a black African female in Britain. There are too few stories and points of views of people of colour in Britain and the West generally, so I have created Ubuntu Museum to put out these stories. We hope to collaborate with and shine a light on people and organisations that believe in the opportunities for the growth of humanity that these new narratives can bring.”
Ep04: Kalungi Ssebandeke - Actor/Writer/Musician
Our fourth film features Kalungi Ssebandeke, a multi-award nominated actor, writer, musician and director, who graduated from Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2019, where he received the BAFTA Scholarship.
His double award nominated debut play Assata Taught Me, starring Adjoa Andoh, was premiered at The Gate Theatre in 2017. He is also the winner of the JMK Directing Award 2023, with his production of Meetings by Mustapha Matura.
In June 2023, he won the inaugural Big Boundless Show Prize, a playwriting commission his his latest project, Black Terror, or Looking for Bill, a new play based on the life of 18th century boxer, Bill Richmond.

Ep05: Moses Ssebandeke - Actor/Writer/Musician
Our fifth film features Moses Ssebandeke, Writer and Film Director.
Moses Ssebandeke is a filmmaker, artist and comic. Moses started filmmaking in 2007. Since then he has made documentaries in Germany, and films with the BBC. His short film Reflection won the Screenskills ‘short film of the month’ award and was screened at the BFI. He also won the Channel 4 values award for his film Distance. He is a graduate of the BAFTA award-winning National Film and Television School.

Ep06: POoR Collective - Architecture & Design
Our sixth film features POoR Collective, Power Out Of Restriction.
Power Out of Restriction is a social enterprise that focuses on the development of communities through the elevation of young people. POoR sees the power of the younger generation and seeks to get young voices heard. Through knowledge sharing and design, we aim to bridge the gap between communities, bring together a wealth of demographics, and empower the youth of today.

Ep07: Sandra Munoz-Alvarez - Filmmaker & Video Editor
Our seventh film features Sandra Muñoz-Alvarez, Filmmaker and Video Maker, CEO and Founder of Keepsake Videos.
Sandra films and edits videos for families, businesses and the community.
The families and charities Sandra helped over the years inspired her to set up a business dedicated to providing professional video editing services to families, businesses and the community. She started her business, realising how important it was to record those moments of happiness.
Keepsake Videos was founded by Sandra in 2014.
Ep08: Roc H Biel - Industrial Design
Our eighth film features Roc H Biel, Industrial Designer
Roc H Biel is a London-based freelance industrial designer and artist with a touch of Barcelona flair and a master’s degree from the Royal College of Art. His work is fuelled by an industrial language and futuristic visions, aimed at awakening curiosity and imagination in his audience.

Ep09: Bryan Raven - Lighting
Our ninth film features Bryan Raven, Managing Director of White Light Ltd.
Bryan started in the Hire department at White Light when the company had just 17 employees. 25 years later, WL has a turnover of £20M, over 210 employees, and is one of the biggest suppliers of technical solutions to the UK’s entertainment industry. As Managing Director, Bryan has overseen the company’s growth and, in recent years, has been closely involved with the expansion of White Light’s work on projects overseas. Bryan is also Chair of the Board of Directors for Skillscene, an organisation formed to coordinate training activities within the entertainment industry.

Ep10: Cath Mattos - Wandsworth Arts Fringe Producer
Our tenth film features Cath Mattos, Wandsworth Arts Fringe producer. Cath is an arts consultant specialising in cultural networks, fringe festivals and creative programmes.
Since 2014, Cath has worked on Wandsworth Arts Fringe supporting artists and creative organisations to realise their ideas. Cath is also the Co Director of World Fringe, a membership organisation for fringe festivals across the globe.

Ep11: Richard Pitt - Learning and Participation Lead for Tavaziva Dance
Our eleventh film features Richard Pitt, Learning and Participation Lead for Tavaziva Dance.
Richard Pitt comes from a background in performance, choreography and rehearsal directing. He has worked as Event Coordinator for Notting Hill Carnival and more recently as programmer for Dance of the African Diaspora (DAD). He currently works as the Learning and Participation Lead for Tavaziva Dance.

Ep12: Barbara Yarde - Fine Jeweller & Designer
Our twelfth Wandsworth Creative film features Barbara Yarde, Fine Jeweller and Designer.
Barbara’s travels and interests in intricately detailed artwork and architecture has fuelled her imagination and influenced much of her work and this attention to detail is reflected in all her pieces. Each one is handmade in her studio in Wandsworth using 9ct gold, 18ct gold, sterling silver, precious and semi-precious stones, which she combines with traditional processes such as reticulation and wax carving to create timeless pieces that will be returned to time and time again.

Our thirteenth Wandsworth Creative film features NEKO Trust, who provide training, workplace experience and employment pathways as well as access to spaces for rehearsal and performance for the next generation of music industry talent both on and off stage.

Ep14: Robyn Steward - Musician
Our fourteenth Wandsworth Creative film features musician Robyn Steward.
Musician Robyn Stewart is a Heart N Soul supported artist and puts on an inclusive live music night called ‘Robyn’s Rocket‘ at Cafe OTO. Robyn also performs and runs workshops for schools and conferences.

Ep15: Yasmin Ogilvie - Musician
Our fifteenth Wandsworth Creative film features musician Yasmin Ogilvie.
Yasmin Ogilvie is a London based saxophonist, a founding member of ‘Apex Horns’ and Selmer Performing Artist who tours globally for a wide range of artists, bands and events. Her keen interest in collaboration has led her to play within a diverse range of genres from Pop and Dance to Avant-garde and Classical.

Ep16: Briony Marshall - Sculptor
Our sixteenth Wandsworth Creative film features sculptor Briony Marshall.
Briony Marshall is well known for her unique bronze sculptures that represent the chemistry of the world around and in us. Each atom is represented by a human figure what reaches out its arms and legs to form them bonds that hold them together in unique geometries.
Briony is a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors, she is a department head at the Art Academy London and her work Layers of Bournemouth was shortlisted for the Marsh award for excellence in Public Sculpture.

Ep17: Stevie King - Artist
Our seventeenth Wandsworth Creative film features artist Stevie King.
Stevie King, is an experienced community artist known as Weavie Stevie, working closely with Hazelhurst Estates’ Work and Play Scrapstore. Stevie uses a variety of materials including recycled, upcycled and found items to make her art.

Ep18: Fée Uhssi - Fashion Designer
Our eighteenth Wandsworth Creative film features fashion designer Fée Uhssi.
Fée Uhssi is a Wandsworth-based, Paris-born, Franco-Nigerian ethical fashion designer, artist, art & colour therapist, wellness coach, and community activist. Fée defines herself as a Fashion and textile Artist but she really is a multi-disciplinary artist who loves to explore and try new things, she draws, paints, and creates collages and visuals, and plays with different forms of textile arts and designs.
