Tap Dance for children ages 8-10 (including beginners)
You'll have lots of fun learning basic technique, tap steps and dances while also following the ISTD Grade 1 Tap syllabus.
This class is on Mondays at 4.15pm and/or Saturdays at 9.30am for 45 minutes each day. The term ends with our free Christmas Party on Saturday 12th December, and classes resume in January (roughly corresponding to Wandsworth school term times).
You can try out the class in outdoor shoes before getting Tap shoes. You can book a free trial on our website, and for families with more than two siblings taking any classes, the third (and more) are taught for free, as we believe the benefits of dance should be accessible to all. There's a simple monthly payment system (£22.50 per month), where the 36 classes a year are spread over 12 equal monthly payments and only a month's notice of leaving is needed.
Once you're ready, or have taken your Grade 1 exam, you can move up to the Grade 2 class, and there's a discount if you take Ballet and Modern classes as well (as we like those really interested children to find it easier to master their posture and arms, and so improve their Tap)! We teach boys and girls, and it's a great way of making new friends.
