Zero Waste Stall and Public Living Room

Date
Wed 10 - Fri 12 Jun 2026

No Booking Required

Visitors are invited to drop into the Public Living Room and Zero Waste Stall to access surplus food through a friendly, non‑stigmatising civic encounter that reduces waste while supporting healthier eating.

Grounded in the wider determinants of health, the project positions architecture as an enabling infrastructure for wellbeing, social connection and everyday sustainable practices.

Visitors are invited to drop into the Zero Waste Stall to access surplus food through a friendly, non‑stigmatising civic encounter that reduces waste while supporting healthier eating. Alongside this, the Public Living Room is an open, inclusive space that encourages a sense of belonging, connection to the centre, and exploration of wellbeing and health.

The project will be of interest to local communities, built environment and health professionals, and anyone motivated to connect locally and find accessible ways into wellbeing and health. This work prioritises prevention, equity and community leadership, and demonstrates how Wandle can act as a focal point for joined‑up, place‑based solutions that help residents move more, connect more and thrive.
