Wandsworth walk visiting Edward and Helen Thomas’s Haunts
Join us for a walk in the footsteps of Edward and Helen Thomas's early years in South London, led by their great-granddaughter.
The walk will start from outside the Sainsbury's Local and entrance to Clapham Junction Station on St John's Hill. It is approximately 4kms and will be undertaken at a leisurely pace, taking time for readings, chances to photograph, ask questions etc, en route. The terrain is easy, mostly on pavements and well established paths on Wandsworth Common.
Lucy Milner, Edward and Helen’s great-granddaughter, will be leading the walk, largely following the map and guidance kindly provided by Benedict Mackay. It is highly recommend that you download/read this document in advance (you can access this document through the ticket booking link).
Lunch will be at approximately 12.45/1pm and Lucy advises bringing a pack up/picnic, which can be eaten on the Common opposite the Hope pub in Bellevue Road.
