Free2B

Free2B is pinned at Clapham Junction as a central point in the borough rather than a venue or meeting place. It is a borough-wide LGBTQ+ youth service that operates from safeguarded community settings across Wandsworth, so for safety and privacy reasons its regular session locations are not publicly listed.

Free2B supports LGBTQ+ young people and those questioning their identity, offering youth groups, individual mentoring and wellbeing support. For many, these services provide their first experience of being in a space where they are not expected to hide who they are, at a time when bullying, family rejection and isolation remain common.
Beyond direct youth work, Free2B also established the Wandsworth LGBTQ+ Delivery Network — a partnership bringing together the council, NHS services, universities, community centres and voluntary organisations such as Age UK, Wandsworth Carers and Wandsworth Oasis, helping local services better support LGBTQ+ people of all ages.
In 2026, its 10th year, Free2B’s work is a reminder that queer history in Wandsworth is not only about past venues and campaigns, but about the everyday support that continues to shape people’s lives. Placing it at Clapham Junction reflects how this support is woven through neighbourhoods across the borough, rather than tied to a single building.
