The painting depicts a urban street scene set in the late 19th century. The street curves to the right, lined with buildings of various architectural styles. Next to it is a white two-story building with a curved façade and large windows. Further down the street, there’s an older building with dark walls and advertisements painted on its side, one of which reads “MAX STRAWCHF.”Five figures are standing near the entrance of the second building, dressed in dark clothing, one of them coming outside from the building with a little black dog or cat. The sky is clear, adding to the serene atmosphere of the painting.
