Alton Road, SW15

Oil painting by Stephen Chaplin depicting a building in Alton road, SW15. 2002

The painting depicts an architectural scene with a brutalist aesthetic. Dominated by geometric shapes and a muted colour palette of blues, greys, and whites, it features a large pilar in the centre. To the right of the pilar there is a green bin and brown rectangular object—possibly a box. Angular beams converge toward an upper corner. Black horizontal windows are located in different areas of the building.
