Eating Well Together

Wandsworth Council has brought together healthy eating resources made by and for our communities. Whether you're looking for culturally relevant guidance, support for older adults, or accessible cook-alongs, there's something here for everyone.

Share Community Cooking - Tim and Doris

Easy Cook-alongs for People with Learning Disabilities

We've partnered with Share Community to launch an easy-read recipe book designed to support people with learning disabilities to eat well and cook with confidence.

The cookbook includes step-by-step picture recipes, safety tips, and guidance on healthy eating using the NHS Eatwell Guide. From simple snacks to hearty meals and tasty desserts, each recipe is easy to follow and encourages independence in the kitchen.

The cookbook also links to short, accessible cooking videos to help build skills and inspire healthy habits.

Healthy eating guides for Wandsworth residents

We worked with residents and local groups from South Asian, Caribbean, East and West African communities to co-create healthy eating guides that reflect traditional meals and customs.

Each guide offers practical tips and recipes to support healthier food choices, without losing the flavours and traditions that matter.
