Worlds Elsewhere
Worlds Elsewhere creates Shakespeare for the many, reimagining the plays through the poetics of access & inclusion, and immersive storytelling.
Drawing on the parallels between Shakespeare’s original performance conditions, with productions staged in natural light and performed by a company of working-class artists, and today’s commitment to access and inclusion, the company combines founding director Kate Andrews’ award-winning decade-long career in Shakespeare with her background in immersive events and egalitarian values.
Through conscious casting, relaxed performance practices and accessible venues, Worlds Elsewhere creates productions that are open, welcoming and engaging, removing barriers to participation and making Shakespeare a shared experience for the widest possible audience.
