T Cole Crafts

Shows the inside of a creative workshop with a bearded man with an Orange hat sitting at his workbench with a yellow mallet. Surrounded by printers, hand tools and paints.

Being part of the Wimbledon Art Studios, I am surrounded by artists of all sorts, often using the same medium like oils or acrylics in totally different ways. The community here accepts people from all walks of life with a unifying love of art and how we can express ourselves using it.

As an artist, Tim Cole seeks to capture individual moments and adventures. He looks for the quirkiness in any situation, presenting an alternative view of the familiar.

Working with mixed media, Tim combines his photography with leather working skills. Carefully curated photographic images are enhanced and developed with tooling and carving techniques to make each piece unique and individual.

He founded T Cole Crafts in 2019. Blending traditional crafts with modern technology and rapid prototyping techniques, his aim was to create unique, personalised leather gifts which were ergonomic, and have a cradle-to-cradle life. In 2021, cork fabric products were introduced as a vegan friendly option, using the flexibility that cork offers to design custom accessories. Already committed to a zero-waste approach, Tim is now reducing the energy requirements of his studio and market stalls with the goal of ultimately generating more electricity than he uses.

Our hire policy

Having been in the Wandsworth area for the last 6 years as an artist, craftsman, and designer, I still feel like I have only dipped a toe into the area. What I have found in my small area is a rabbit warren of cave-like wonders that challenges what art is and what it can be made from.
