I love the rich diversity of cultures and communities across the borough. Wandsworth feels like borough where the priorities are kindness and caring for one another and where the arts are acknowledged to play a critical role in the wellbeing of all.

As It Is Arts is a not-for-profit age-positive community interest initiative dedicated to transforming the social isolation of older men through creative arts engagement.

Developing the experience of connection between individuals, each other and their communities.

Fostering optimism in the positive impact of self-expression through the creative arts to achieve personal and social change.

Creating opportunities for mutual encouragement.

Enabling confidence in individuals' creativity and the value of their voice in the world.

Finding pathways to discover belonging.

Our hire policy

There are many opportunities for anyone with an inspiration to explore their creativity, from professional, trained practitioners to people at the beginning of their creative journey to connect with each other, groups and creative organisations with plentiful support and encouragement from Wandsworth borough and its affiliated organisations . Whatever your 'thing' is, there will be somewhere to do it and others to work with and also to support and encourage you in doing it!
