How to Submit an Event
Here's how to submit your event to our Welcome to Wandsworth What's On page.
Guidelines for submissions
We will be checking each submission carefully to make sure they follow our guidelines, which are:
- Your event must take place between 1 April 2025 – 31 March 2026.
- It must happen in the London Borough of Wandsworth.
- It must be an arts, culture or heritage event (for example, we definitely would include a Caribbean food festival, but we probably wouldn’t include a football match or a yoga class, unless it has a clear heritage or arts element as part of the event.)
Please note: We reserve the right not to publish events that are deemed inappropriate or offensive.
Video: How to Submit an Event
1. Log into your Creative Account:
- Create an account or log into your existing account. This will take you to your dashboard. Then select ‘Submit an event’ and then ‘Register new event’.
2. Fill out details about your event
- Provide details about your event, including the name, type of event, and age range it is aimed at. You should provide a short synopsis summarising your event, as well as a more detailed description with any extra information audiences need to know.
3. Fill out performance details
- Select the date, time, and venue for your performance. If your venue isn’t visible in the drop-down list, select ‘Request venue addition’ to have it added to our database.
Top tip: You can add more than one performance if your event is a series. For example, if you have three circus shows happening across one weekend add each as a separate performance.
4. Select your event’s price and add any booking details
- If your event is ticketed, you need to direct people to a link so they can book. You can provide an external ticket booking link or an email address if you want audiences to book through you.
Top tip: Eventbrite allows you to list your event for free.
5. Add images or videos
- Your images need to be 2MB or less, a maximum of 1600 pixels wide x 1200 pixels high, and in landscape format, so you may need to resize your images. You can use any built-in image editor on your computer or an online tool like ImageResizer or TheImageResizer.
Because images are cropped and presented inside frames across the site, please use clean photographs/artwork and avoid:
- Logos
- Text
- Posters or flyers
- Mosiac or collaged images
Note: you can use poster or flyer artwork in your additional gallery images, they will present full size when clicked on.
6. Optional details
- If you want to you can add contact details (so people can get in touch with you), details for any workshops/class tutors or leaders, and any extra materials you want audiences to access. These sections are optional so you can still complete your event without filling in these fields.
7. Click on ‘Submit event’
- Once you've submitted your event, you’ll be taken back to your dashboard where you can see the status of all events you’ve submitted. Once the Welcome to Wandsworth team has approved your event (which will happen within 7 working days), you’ll see a green tick under ‘Approved’, and your event will appear on our What’s On page!
