Carnival Roots - Roehampton Celebrates

Come and enjoy a fun, free community carnival celebrating Black history, Caribbean culture and the roots of Notting Hill Carnival.
Join us at Focus Hall from 1pm - 4pm for some carnival excitement, and take a picture in an authentic carnival costume.
Don’t miss our live performance with the UK Small Band Panorama 2026 Competition winners’ Pan Nation. There will also be Carnival Costume photobooth, where you can try on an authentic costume and take a picture. Get moving in our carnival style dance workshop or get crafty making a carnival costume piece.
There will also be a mini jou’vet, tasty Caribbean food, Soca music and bejewelled face painting.
This event is for the whole family, so come along and get involved! Take part in all activities or some… but come along and enjoy the day with us.
