Conversing with the Ghazal is a follow-on workshop from Voices of Wandsworth: Poetry & Song. Gita Ralleigh & Rishika Williams welcome absolute beginners and seasoned writers. 6:00 - 8:00 PM, September 29th at the CAA, 20 Bedford Street, WC2E 9HP.

A follow-on event from Voices of Wandsworth: Poetry & Song, held in July at Arches Lane Theatre, Battersea Power Station.

Conversing with the Ghazal is a practical, generative workshop for absolute beginners and seasoned writers.

Join to discuss the cultural beliefs embedded in the form, considering order, repetition and meaning.

Gita Ralleigh shares techniques for writing traditional and contemporary ghazals, drawing on poets such as Agha Shahid Ali, Mona Arshi & Zeina Hashem Beck.

Rishika Williams shares the analytical tools she has developed to explore the choices the form presents.

Tickets include a signed copy of Gita Ralleigh's new pamphlet Empirical (The Braag, RRP £7.50).
