Forged over nearly three decades of shared musical history since the mid-1990s, saxophonist Iain Ballamy and pianist/vocalist Gareth Williams come together for a landmark album launch marking the official relaunch of the iconic Babel Label at WHB.

Drawing inspiration from the harmonic richness, poise, and non-mawkish melancholia of Bill Evans, the duo delivers a masterclass in spontaneous jazz dialogue. Ballamy’s architectural sense of form and innate melodicism meet Williams’s risk-taking, chess-master strategy, and soul-infused energy – creating a performance defined by deep mutual trust, intensity, and artisanal craft without gimmickry or artificial pretense.
