The Roehampton Street Band, made up of talented young brass and wind players and drummers from local primary schools and the Wandsworth Music Academy.

The Roehampton Street Band, made up of talented young musicians from local primary schools and Wandsworth Music Academy, bring brass, wind and marching drums to Roehampton in another colourful musical display, inspired by New Orleans Jazz music traditions.

Olly Blackman (Wandsworth Music tutor and Hackney Colliery Band Drummer) leads the ensemble, rehearsing wind, brass and drum players from Granard Primary, Heathmere Primary, Mosaic Primary and Sacred Heart Roehampton Primary.

The group performed as part of Wandsworth Arts Fringe 2024, processing along Danebury High Street in the heart of Roehampton, and pulling many unsuspecting shoppers and a crowd of family and friends for an unforgettable and joyous performance.
