The Froebel Demonstration School moved to Roehampton, to Ibstock Place House, on 2 October 1946, after their evacuation to Hertfordshire during WW2.
This talk will discuss the history of the School, particularly focusing on how they settled into Roehampton in this era, with changing ideas in education and the family pervading. The talk will focus on the relationship between School and notions of ‘home’ in this era. Attendees will have a chance to explore our School Museum, enjoy some nibbles, and participate in a short tour around the campus.
