Happy Streets Festival 2026
Get ready for Happy Streets Festival 2026!
Hundreds of Battersea residents flock to Thessaly Road each year for Happy Streets - a free family arts festival packed with live performances, face painting, delicious food and creative fun for all ages.
After last year’s huge success, we’re back for two full days - with Thessaly Road closed to traffic to make even more space for music, movement and community celebration.
Expect a solar-powered stage showcasing brilliant local talent, high-energy dance workshops, pedal-powered smoothie making, free pizza sessions and beatbox battles. Get stuck into arts and crafts with local artists, enjoy walkabout performers and street parties, join a guided tour, and tuck into fantastic street food all weekend long.
- Saturday 4th July | 12pm–6pm
Locations: St George’s School, Thessaly Road (road closed) and the R.O.S.E Community Clubroom, SW8 - Sunday 5th July | 12pm–5pm
Locations: Yvonne Carr Centre and Oasis Gardens, SW8 4HT
The full programme will be announced soon - watch this space!
Launched in July 2019, Happy Streets was inspired by London artist Yinka Ilori’s colourful redesign of the Thessaly Road railway underpass, which connects the Savona, Patmore, and Carey Gardens estates.
