2025 was Wandsworth's year as London Borough of Culture, with every corner of the borough coming alive in an explosion of creativity. From Roehampton to Battersea, Tooting to Putney, we ignited culture and creativity.

Known for our vibrant and diverse communities, the borough has a proud cultural history as home to Battersea Arts Centre, Tara Theatre, Tooting Market, the Clapham Grand, the Royal Academy of Dance and much more. We are a young and dynamic borough with communities from across the globe, creating a rich tapestry of ideas and creativity.
Our cultural programme was created with local people and organisations, and included free events for everyone. From mass dance events and country music festivals, to family-friendly circus and choral performances across the borough, we are leaving a lasting legacy of creativity and participation.
