Tom's Cafe (Battersea Arts Centre)

Battersea Arts Centre is a Home for the Extraordinary. Based just 7 minutes from Clapham Junction in the former Battersea Town Hall, BAC has been a home for extraordinary artists, young people and communities for the past 50 years. Come along and see world-class theatre and performance, take part in one of our youth-led academies, hire one of our many spaces or relax in Tom’s Café. Tom's Cafe is Battersea Arts Centre's on-site cafe and bar space. During the daytime it operates as a cafe, and during our Spring and Autumn seasons it is our theatre bar for audiences in the evening. For WAF 2025 we are also accepting submissions to use the space as a performance venue.

Our hire policy

The Cafe is available for hire for private parties and community events, and for WAF 2025 we are also accepting submissions to use the space as a performance venue. Hire cost covers the staffing required to keep the cafe open into the evening, alongside technical and operational support on the night. Depending on your technical requirements, there may be some additional set-up costs. A member of the BAC team will go through everything with you. We recommend Work-in-Progress, solo shows, live music or comedy as suiting the space best. Please do reach out, and BAC will be happy to chat through and see if Tom's Cafe will work for your show.
