Meet IKON: A New Queer Party at Tooting's newly relaunched cultural venue, House of ORA
This August, IKON launches at House of ORA (formerly Tooting Tram Social). Created by local resident Harry, IKON was born from a simple idea: to create a welcoming space for the LGBTQ+ community in South West London while contributing to Wandsworth’s growing cultural scene.
With an emphasis on inclusivity, great music and community, IKON hopes to become a place where everyone feels at home.
“Queer spaces matter, and we wanted to create something built by the community, for the community.”
Making its home at House of Ora, IKON introduces the venue’s first dedicated queer party, bringing a fresh addition to Tooting’s nightlife and adding to Wandsworth’s growing LGBTQ+ cultural scene. Guests can expect incredible DJs, an immersive atmosphere and music powered by the venue’s state-of-the-art sound system.
“We wanted to create a space where people can come together, make new connections and simply have a great night out. From the music and the atmosphere to the incredible sound system, we want every person who walks through the doors to have an unforgettable night and feel like they belong.”
As more LGBTQ+ events emerge across the borough, IKON hopes to play its part in making Wandsworth an even more welcoming and vibrant place for the community.
To celebrate the launch, readers can use the code FRIENDSOFIKON for £10 entry, including a welcome drink - ticket link in @ikon.party bio.
