Wandsworth Council invites organisations working with people living with dementia to express interest in participating in our Heritage Boxes for Dementia programme between November 2025 and January 2027.
This initiative offers a unique opportunity to host remembrance sessions using curated memory boxes filled with heritage objects from the Wandsworth Heritage Collection, spanning from the 1950s onwards.
Heritage Boxes for Dementia, in partnership with the University of Roehampton and local organisations, will bring Wandsworth’s rich heritage collection into care homes and community spaces. These bespoke interactive time capsules - filled with sensory objects, archive materials, and recordings - will be used to spark connection, trigger memories, and support wellbeing for people living with dementia.
Apply by Sunday 21st September.

About the Memory Boxes
Each box is themed to evoke memories and spark conversation: School Days, Going Out, Hobbies, Kitchen and Celebrations.
These boxes are designed to support reminiscence therapy and community engagement, helping participants connect with the past through tactile, visual and aural experiences.
Boxes will be bookable, for a maximum of 15 days at a time, through the form below.
