Calling ESEA (East and South-East Asian) adults in and connected to Wandsworth
We're looking for participants for Celebrating East and South-East Asian Stories in Wandsworth, a FREE six-week creative storytelling programme facilitated by actor, writer and theatre-maker Youyang Song, supported by the Wandsworth Community Heritage Fund and Culturally Mindful Legacy Fund.
What we'll explore together
🌱 Heritage, identity, belonging and cultural traditions
✍️ Memories, food, music, traditions and everyday life through creative storytelling and writing
💬 Sharing experiences, meeting others and connecting with ESEA communities
🎙️ Exploring stories through writing, speaking, listening and performance in a relaxed and supportive space
No previous experience is needed! Whether you'd like to try something creative for the first time, reconnect with your cultural background, or simply meet others with shared experiences, you're warmly welcome. You can take part in whatever way feels right for you. Light refreshments will also be provided.
Optional radio drama opportunity
There will also be an optional opportunity to perform in an original radio drama written by Youyang and inspired by themes and ideas emerging from the workshops.
