Are you part of the LGTBQIA+ Community with a story to tell about living, studying or working in Wandsworth?
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of a brand-new LGBTQIA+ research project as part of the Heritage Lottery-funded London Borough of Culture Programme.
We’ve commissioned two outstanding freelance researchers, both deeply experienced in queer histories, to explore and celebrate the lives, stories, and achievements of LGBTQIA+ people - past and present - who have lived, worked, or studied in Wandsworth.
What’s it all about?
This project will uncover and honour the rich queer heritage of our borough. We’re just getting started, and we want to hear from you. We’re especially keen to connect with people who want to share their stories on their own terms.
What’s coming up?
All the stories we gather - historic, contemporary, and even future-facing - will be brought together in an exhibition in February 2025.
