Design for a Christmas card
Design for a Christmas card by Edward J. Ashenden, 1918
This is a design for Christmas card made by Edward J. Ashenden (1896-1952), in 1918. He attended the Putney School of Art before World War I, and also just after the war, from 1919-1922. We don't know the exact date this Christmas card design was produced, but it is poignant to think Ashenden may have drawn this after hostilities ended in November 1918.
