Artist Biography

William Evans (1798–1877) William Evans was an English watercolourist and drawing master, known for his delicate landscapes and architectural studies. Born in Eton, he succeeded his father as drawing master at Eton College and was also a member of the Society of Painters in Water Colours. Evans exhibited regularly and was admired for his refined technique and atmospheric compositions. His work reflects a strong connection to Windsor and the surrounding countryside, where he lived and taught for much of his life.
