Hyde Farm, Balham

Hyde Farm, Balham

Watercolour by W.F. Garden, depicting Hyde Farm, Balham. 1906.

Watercolour depicting a rural scene with a cottage nestled amidst a lush landscape. The cottage has a steeply pitched rood, several chimneys and windows. It seems to be a traditional structure that has been expanded in different areas, with different materials used in each building..

A tranquil pond or stream flows in front of the cottage, reflecting the cottage, the sly and the trees. Lush trees surround the cottage and line the water's edge, with varied shades of green and brown.
