This is a photograph (black and white print) by Caroline Townshend of Walpole St. Peter. Townshend was a renowned stained glass artist of the Arts and Crafts movement. She started a studio at the Glass House in Fulham, in 1903. She and her apprentice, Joan Howson, set up their company, Townshend & Howson, in 1920. Walpole St. Peter is a village in Norfolk, UK, well-known for its Grade I listed church, St. Peter's, described as the 'Cathedral of the Fens'.
