Alice in Tinderland
A plunge down the rabbit hole of online dating. Does the digital world help us connect or do we lose our heads and our identity as we search for love and adventure in Tinderland?
Welcome to a comic yet thought-provoking exploration of online dating with all its rabbit holes, strange encounters and differing realities. Can the digital world help us connect, cure our loneliness and find love or is it driving us towards deceit and self-deception? And must we accept this as the new normal? Lewis Carroll meets Bridget Jones in this feisty, still-evolving drama, brought to you by Buskers Inc. a diverse, multi-cultural theatre collective. Four different Alices, lured by the mysterious Jack R Patterson, try to discover who to trust in a world of superficial charm and instant swiping. Are they sure they know what they truly want from the experience? Share their journey and discover the chaos of the Mad Hatter’s party, the Caterpillar’s wisdom, the all-seeing eyes of the Cheshire Cat Lady. Perhaps you’ll end up like the Red Queen believing six impossible things before breakfast while you pick your next date. Curioser and curioser? Come and see for yourself, on the 20th and 21st June.
