superSATELLITE.RCA

The Super Satellite serves as both a residency for Royal College of Art (RCA) Interior Design alumni and a dynamic workshop space for RCA interior design students and students from other courses, including architecture, on a rotating basis. This adaptable workshop area can also be transformed into a venue for larger events such as talks, discussions, and mini-exhibitions. The residency program emphasises sustainability by challenging alumni to transform onsite construction waste into new materials, structures, and life-sized installations. These creations are prominently displayed throughout the site, including in the unit’s windows, showcasing innovative approaches to repurposing waste. The Super Satellite exemplifies New Acres’ dedication to sustainability and innovation by converting construction waste into art. The space not only provides a platform for RCA alumni and students to exhibit their talent and dedication but also acts as a vibrant hub of creativity.
