Artist Biography
Edward Louis Anthony Parrini (1858–1914) British artist of Italian parentage, born in Constantinople (now Istanbul). He studied in Florence and Naples, and moved to London around 1885, where he worked as a scenic artist, muralist, and sign writer. Parrini is believed to have contributed to the murals at Brompton Oratory in Kensington and possibly at the Catholic Church on the Putney side of Wandsworth. His artistic output includes watercolours and a few oil paintings, often depicting churches, bridges, and scenes along the River Thames. His works are known for their architectural detail and atmospheric quality, and many were likely commissioned or sold locally. He lived in Wandsworth until his death in 1914.
