Artist Biography
Alfred Dawson (1843–1931) Alfred Dawson was a British landscape painter and printmaker, known for his wood engravings and etchings. Trained by his father, Henry Dawson, he exhibited at the Royal Academy and co-founded the Typographic Etching Company, contributing to the development of photomechanical printmaking. His work blends pastoral scenes with technical innovation.
