Diversions in the Library
Dance Diversion Artistic Director Fritha Fallon, invites you to connect with the cultural heritage of the borough of Wandsworth in new, and perhaps surprising ways.
The displays of the Wandsworth Mini Museum will be magically brought to life for an afternoon by dancers, poets and musicians. Meet eclectic characters, art and artefacts as they reveal their fascinating stories. Explore the building and listen carefully. Perhaps follow a dancer as they animate an object or respond to the space.
You might hear some words by a famous poet, an utterance of a familiar place, or a well-known tune that was composed nearby. Discover art to look at and poems to read. Search for clues and detect connections as you experience the past, the present and the imagined, in curious dialogue with each other. Amongst all the chaos, beauty and appreciation can be found.
This event is suitable for all ages. You can come alone or with a friend. Explore the building inside and out, or find a comfy chair, relax, and see what comes your way.
