UPLIFT Festival: Playwriting competition
We want to hear stories from as many young people in the London Borough of Wandsworth as possible. You don’t need any experience! We want to hear what you have to say!
QUICK GLANCE INFORMATION
- No experience necessary
- Two age categories 14-16 or 17-19
- You can apply if you are aged 14 - 19
- You can write a 30-40 minute play or a 5 minute short play or scene
TIMELINE
Closing Date for Scripts: Friday 19th September 5pm
Finalists announced: 14th October
Finalist plays rehearsed week of the 27th October
Performances of the winning plays and scenes 20th, 21st, 22nd November
The winners will be given the opportunity to direct their own plays, with support for the Group 64 staff, or we have G64 Young Directors who can direct your script if you would prefer.
