The new season of St Mary’s Jazz Evenings will begin with quite a bang on Friday 5th September, as the genius trumpeter and vocalist Lewis Taylor will be joined by a consummate rhythm section of London jazz talent to present a varied and light-hearted programme of vintage jazz standards, fiery bebop, and hits from the Great American Songbook. He will be joined by Hugo Jennings on piano and vocals, Luke Fowler on bass, and Louis Brown on drums for an unforgettable evening. There will also be a bar serving refreshments.
Doors open 7:30pm; music starts at 8pm
The St Mary's jazz evenings are always reasonably-priced, relaxed affairs which feature some of the finest musicians in the world of jazz. As well as this event, there are gigs scheduled on Friday 10th October and Friday 7th November, with lineups to be announced in due course.
