The Green Plaque will remember the thousands of people - patients and staff - who lived and worked at Tooting Bec Asylum/Hospital between 1903-1995. The hospital stood on the site of the Heritage Park Estate, Tooting Bec Road.

The plaque unveiling will take place at the pedestrian entrance to the Heritage Park Estate, Tooting Bec Road, corner of Franciscan Road at 2pm.

Attendees will then go on to the Pavilion at Tooting Lido for the book launch.

This plaque has been generously funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund as part of Wandsworth's London Borough of Culture year.
