Community & Connections Photography Award - Open for Entries
How do you see community and connections in Battersea?
The Battersea Society, in partnership with the Royal College of Art, is sponsoring the Community & Connections Photography Award. Created to celebrate the many communities within Battersea - and to capture the idea of community and connection in visual images – the Award aims to inspire entries from a wide and diverse range of amateur photographers.
During this special year as Wandsworth’s London Borough of Culture, the Battersea Society’s 2025 photography competition is looking for single images or photo stories that communicate the ideas of community and connections in Battersea.
This could be photographs of people, activities, events or places in Battersea. The connections might be within or between communities and the communities might be defined by generation, faith, cultural practices, neighbourhood, lived experience or any other dimension that the photographer chooses.
The competition is open from 21 June to 14 September. It doesn’t matter whether you’re young or old, an occasional snapper or somebody who’s honed their eye through years of perfecting daily Instagram shots—our competition is open to all amateur photographers.
Shortlisted entries will be exhibited at the Royal College of Art in Battersea and there will be prizes.
