Michael Mapp’s Welcome Tooting—a kaleidoscopic ode to Tooting’s soul, hailed as “the visual anthem of modern Tooting debuted at the London Borough of Culture celebrations, unveiled by Mayor Sadiq Khan MBE. Now the sole large-scale edition of this cultural landmark goes to auction Thursday, 10 July at Tooting Family Hub. With nine others held privately including by Khan, Cllr Simon Hogg, and MP Dr Rosena Allin-Khan this Afro-Caribbean and South-Asian inspired symphony fuels Urban Studio Sessions C.I.C., funding arts and sports programs for youth. Own a piece of history, inspire future creatives (local students receive their own editions), and become a custodian of Tooting’s story. Art with purpose. Legacy with impact.
