Taking place over one night, we move in time and space between a transgressive app date in present day East London, and a Bungalow in Delhi, 1946, where the line of partition between India and Pakistan is being drawn

Dark farce and erotic exploitation pepper this exposition of the kinks of colonisation while asking base questions about desire, control, and guilt. Featuring Special Guest: Pooja Sivaraman WHAT IS SOUTH ASIAN PLAY READING GROUP? Each session we will be reading a different play written by a writer of South Asian heritage. These will be a combination of new plays that are at different stages of development in addition to older legacy texts that haven’t been seen for a while and everything else in between. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet and connect with other creatives in a friendly and welcoming artistic environment.

This black-and-white photo depicts Adrian Lee, a white man playing an electric guitar. Adrian’s figure fills the frame from just below the chest up. Adrian faces the camera squarely but his eyes are shut with deep concentration as he plays his guitar which is held high to his chest across his left shoulder. His right hand fingers pluck the string while his left hand fingers are curled to press the strings on the guitar’s neck. He wears a dark baseball cap, a light-coloured shirt with a mandarin colour unbuttoned over a dark t-shirt. The background is light, and Adrian’s stance is dramatic and strong and the image of him is clearly articulated in this black-and-white photo.

A young woman using a wheelchair and a middle-aged woman sit beside each other. They are surrounded by wooden crates and plants, with a billowing tent canopy overhead. Atmospheric low lighting, illuminates their faces with a golden glow and casts shadows of the plant leaves around them.
