This one-on-one performance of care is an ode to intentional, gentle, transgressive love, where audience-participants take away a personal love letter.

Share what's in your heart and come just as you are; The Lover is ready to celebrate that which must be loved in you. Sessions at the Love In last approximately 25 minutes, and all participants will leave with a personal love letter composed by The Lover during the session in response to their sharing.

Amanda is a mad performer of care whose storytelling work integrates expertise in interdisciplinary theatrical practises and abolitionist psychological theory. Amanda specialises in the cultivation of mad empathy, creating worlds worth hoping in from one-on-one experiences like Love In (Best Site-Specific Show, Orlando Fringe; Show of the Week Nominee, VAULT Festival) to site- specific touring work, such as Trephination for the TwentyFirst Century (UK Tour). She facilitates with Wellbeing in the Arts and Represents the Disability Network at the National Theatre. Amanda is a member of NEUROMANCERS’ Care Collective, Graeae’s Writers Network and, in 2025, was endorsed as a Global Talent by Arts Council England.

Liberty Festival is the Mayor of London’s flagship disability arts festival, platforming some of the most exciting disabled creatives, showcasing bold, innovative work for free that excites, challenges and reframes disability for audiences across the capital and hosted in each London Borough of Culture.
