
St Mary's Jazz Evenings: Christ-Stephane Boizi
Christ-Stéphane Boizi is a rising talent in the UK jazz world, known for his innovative approach to trombone playing. His performances span a range of styles, from classic swing to modern jazz, allowing him to adapt seamlessly to any musical setting. With a growing reputation for his dynamic stage presence and rich, soulful sound, he has quickly become one to watch in the jazz community. He will be bringing a quartet of some London's finest young talent to perform at St Mary's Battersea on Friday 7th November. Doors open at 7:30pm; music starts at 8pm. There will be a bar selling refreshments.
Christ-Stéphane Boizi is a trombonist, composer, and bandleader making waves in the UK jazz scene. Currently in his third year at Trinity Laban, he draws inspiration from legendary trombonists JJ Johnson and Slide Hampton, as well as hard bop icons like Horace Silver and Art Blakey. His music seamlessly blends hard bop, gospel, and contemporary jazz, creating a distinctive and dynamic sound.
