Shakespeare in the Squares presents The Taming of the Shrew
We are delighted to announce that Shakespeare in the Squares will be performing at Coronation Gardens this summer
The not-for-profit theatre company will be celebrating its eighth anniversary with The Taming of the Shrew, Shakespeare’s comedy battle of wits, wills and wild romance complete with toe-tapping pop classics. Shakespeare in the Squares stages a Shakespeare play in London gardens every summer. Their minimal sets transform gardens into magical settings without the use of artificial lighting, intrusive rigs or amplification. Their aim is to provide a showcase for young, professional actors, many have gone on to perform with the National Theatre and other mainstream companies. The company’s Patron is Dame Judi Dench. The show at Coronation Gardens will take place on Sunday 15th June. The performance will begin at 3pm and we hope that the audience will picnic from 1.30pm. You can take advantage of the early bird adult ticket rate, which runs until 21st April.
