Saree Stories

Date
Thu 12 - Fri 13 Jun 2025

Sarees are an essential garment in South Asian culture. Saree Stories explores the history and meaning of Sarees through two exciting tales.

Katrina is about to get married to the love of her life. She’s got it all sorted, from the invites, to the decor, to the fusion food that’s just flavorful enough for the Indian side, and not too spicy for the British side. The only thing that’s not ready? The dress. Her sister Kiara sends out an SOS in the family chat, and the relatives come piling into her flat, bearing colorful fabrics and sentimental Sarees. These Sarees span decades and continents, coming all the way from Hong Kong to Hyderabad to the streets of North London. They’ve been through turmoil and tears. Which Saree will speak to Katrina?
