‘Sula’ is a new london-based trio project made up of drummer Miranda Radford, bassist Aleks Dimitrova and pianist Kezia Abuoma

All currently studying jazz at Trinity Laban, these exciting young musicians have come up through hailed organisations like Tomorrow’s Warriors. As both bandleaders and sidewomen, they have performed at venues such as The Vortex, The Jazz Cafe and Dizzy’s Club in New York. These three unique voices have come together to play both their original compositions and other music inspired by the energetic, contemporary sound of Kris Davis, Kenny Kirkland and Jeff “Tain” Watts. Miranda Radford is a 19-year-old drummer who is most definitely ‘up and coming’ on the London jazz scene. Her influences and inspirations include the work of jazz legends such as Tony Williams, Max Roach, Wayne shorter and Cedar Walton. Miranda has performed at venues such as Love Supreme, Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Dizzy’s Jazz Club and more.
