Re:Create 2025
Applications are now open for Re:Create, a business support programme designed especially for the borough’s creative businesses and freelancers!
Re:Create is Wandsworth Council’s bespoke business support programme for creative businesses, devised and delivered in partnership with Creative United. One of the aims of Wandsworth’s year as London Borough of Culture is to be a launchpad for our creatives onto a national and international stage. Re:Create is a vital part of this ongoing work to grow the local artistic and creative business sector and foster the next generation of artists, creatives and makers.
Re:Create is now open to any creative entrepreneur or freelancer – such as artists, makers, designers, musicians and creative business owners - based in the borough of Wandsworth.
Selected participants will benefit from:
- 4 hours of one-to-one mentoring from business coaches in the creative and arts industries.
- A tailored e-learning course focused on business skills for creatives – a great on-demand toolkit with training videos and downloadable resources.
- Opportunities to connect with the Re:Create network made up of local creative entrepreneurs and artists at in-person events.
Applications to be part of the programme are open until 29 August 2025. A total of 40 creative businesses will then be selected to receive four hours of individual coaching and advice from industry experts in the Autumn.
Alongside specialist mentoring for the chosen cohort, the Re:Create programme also provides all creative businesses based in the borough with the chance to broaden their networks and skills, through events and free access to a bespoke e-learning toolkit.
An evaluation of last year’s programme showed an estimated additional £100,000 generated across the cohort as a result of their participation in Re:Create.
The Alton Renewal Plan is keen to support creatives business owners, artists, and creative freelancers from the Alton Estate to take part in the Re:Create programme. If you live or work on the Alton and are interested in applying for the programme or attending Re:Create events but may face barriers such as childcare, transport, or access needs (like a BSL interpreter or translator), Wandsworth Borough Council may be able to help. If you’d like to talk through what support is available, please get in touch with Natalie Omari at Wandsworth Council via email at Natalie.omari@richmondandwandsworth.gov.uk.
