Hannah

I love the community that has grown out of the cultural space in Wandsworth. Everyone is incredibly friendly and supportive! There is a brilliant diverse range of creative offerings and a real buzz around arts and culture in the borough.
I'm a queer movement artist and producer. My work focuses on environmental and social justice. I specialise in dance, Chinese pole and capoeira. I produce dance and circus film, live performance, outdoor events and community projects. I also teach, including classes for people with disabilities.
My career in the arts started as a professional dancer. After graduating from London Studio Centre in 2010, my performance career includes performing hip hop and ballroom at Sadler’s Wells, dancing for Jax Jones at Wembley Stadium, representing England at the Tap World Championships and working for brands such as Nike and Hotel Chocolat. I continue to perform and have since entered into the world of Chinese pole (circus) and capoeira which I integrate into my work.
I produce my own work - live performance, events, film, community projects - and have been supported by Arts Council England, Wandsworth Grant Fund, Wandsworth Arts Fringe, Bermondsey Square Community Fund & Harrow Arts Centre.

I think the council do a really good job of supporting arts and culture in the borough (not just in the LBOC year) - the continuous funding available and the fact that Wandsworth Arts Fringe is open to all artists illustrates how much value they place on the arts. This makes us artists feel valued and creates a a wonderful creative place.
