Jazz at St Mary's hosts an incredibly special event featuring Jerry Weldon, one of the greatest saxophonists in the world, from New York City.
The veteran tenor sax man will be joined by Alex Garnett, one of the finest saxophonists in British jazz history, in a night of high-octane, swinging jazz, which will feature compositions by some of the foremost sax players in jazz folklore. They will be backed by a rhythm section of some of the finest talent in London, featuring drummer Mark Taylor, one of the most respected musicians of the last 30 years in both New York and the UK.
Veteran sax man Jerry Weldon, has been on the jazz scene for more than 40 years. Since joining Lionel Hampton's Orchestra in 1981, he has toured all over the world with the likes of George Benson, Harry Connick Jr., Roy Haynes, and Mel Tormé.
