Echoes of the Windrush Showcase
A showcase of the work produced during our London Borough of Culture project "Echoes of the Windrush" creative writing workshop
Back in September we embarked on an amazing creative writing journey Captained by the esteemed Floacist from the Neo soul sensation Floetry, this journey took the form of a series of Windrush centered Spoken Word and Poetry workshops where participants were encouraged and guided to unlock untold stories discover hidden experiences of their own Windrush experience or heritage in a creative and expressive manner.
As a culmination of all of our hard work we are proud to invite you to our Echoes of the Windrush Showcase and Screening featuring recitals, performative readings, audio and audio visual pieces selected from the works completed. We will also have special guests and donations can be made on the night.
Join us to experience an immersive evening of poetry and spoken word packaged in various ways, celebrating Culture, Heritage and Creativity as part of London Borough of Culture.
