Artful Gardens: Creative Inspiration from Nature

Join us in the tranquil surroundings of Paradise Cooperative’s community garden for an inspiring afternoon of art and mindfulness. Gardens have inspired artists for generations, from the intricate Dutch flower painters to the bold strokes of the Impressionists. In this event, we’ll explore how nature’s beauty sparks creativity and calms the mind. Participants can experiment with different media and techniques, sketching with dry, wet and mixed media, as they observe the colours, textures and forms of plants and flowers. The session encourages creative exploration in a mindful, immersive setting. Open to adults and children aged 8+, this is a shared experience for those who enjoy art and nature. Children must be supervised at all times, as the garden will remain open, and no separate activities will be provided. Whether you're an experienced artist or a beginner, you'll leave with a new perspective on nature’s influence on art and a unique creation of your own.
